5 speed woes

Does the ZF 5 speed bolt up in place of the Mazda 5 speed? I would much rather have to build up/rebuild a trans thats worth its weight. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I beleave the small block ZF does bolt up in place of the Mazda (but I'm not 100% sure). When buying the ZF make sure you get the small block version not the big block version.

Thanks for the info. What about the crossmember? Does it need to be moved or swapped? What about the clutch slave and speedometer connection?
