360 camera question

So the right side picture showing the truck from above, how is that done?
Is that a representation of the truck,or the actual truck?

There's a drone that pops out of the back of the truck when you go into that camera mode.

No, that truck is not your ACTUAL truck. LOL.

It’s a representation of your truck. The bird’s eye view is painted by “stitching” together digital data from the front, side (l &r), and tailgate cameras.

Pretty cool, eh?

very cool! Can I trust it going in or out of tight parking spaces? It actually makes it appear that the truck is much closer than it actually is. Which is making me trust it more than I probably should.

roll down your window, put your hand under the mirror close to the truck. After you cover and uncover the camera you'll understand what's going on. You can trust it. The only time mine acts funny is when I pull in to my garage, the light change from bright to dark only on 1 camera(side) messes with it IMO. Makes it hard to see for a few seconds till it adjust.

It also uses the cab-mounted brake light camera. You can see what’s in the bed of the truck.

Well, that’s cool! I’ve played around with this feature at the dealer, but it didn’t occur to me to try it with the bed cam selected.

Thanks!

I wouldn't put 100% trust in it in the rain or when the cameras have water splashed on them. Sometimes the water will distort the picture and can make things look warped and could be closer or farther away than it looks on the display.

It would be kinda cool if Ford matched the color of the truck in the picture to your actual paint color...

Next question
the front camera on the bottom of the blue oval has a little spray wash next to it.to clean off the front camera only. Is it only automatic as it senses something on the lens and then sprays it off, or can it be done manually, and if so, how?

One of the key “gotta have” add-ons for me/us. It’s very accurate as to how close you are to objects. My better-half couldn’t park, in the garage, without ‘em.
