Have a 07 5.4 that has a new HD engine put in after timing chain broke and threw a rod, never had this problem with the old engine after said shooty shop took 4 months to put in a crate motor I have NO reverse and was given back the truck just like that, you can shift from P-D,D-N any other combination but as soon as you put it in reverse it's a automatic kill switch to the engine no shaking nothing just like a dead short to the engine, it is now in a reputable shop last time I talked to the reputable shop he said he has narrowed to the reverse/brake circuit also said he was getting voltage to the injections when he would shift to reverse, and said he also found some other shooty **** done wrong by the shooty shop.

 

Did they pinch the harness near the transmission? If they spliced it I would bet the pink/white wire is ground to the rear lights. But that's just my honest guess.
