When I bought this truck a couple months back I read the build sheet and specifically noted "Sync N/A." That may not have anything to do with the following but maybe someone can educate me on this.I'm sitting in the truck with key off, radio off no lights etc. If I get an email, text msg or phone call the instr. cluster info panel lights up. That's leading me to believe there is some sort blue tooth connection going on between my IPhone and my truck. Anyone else experience this?
The truck is an XL and according to the window sticker..."Preferred Equipment Package 600A." Here is a replica pic' of this trucks' equipment and I don't think it's blue tooth capable. Really strange tho' that my IPhone seems to be communicating with the truck.
if your phone IS triggering your truck.. blue-tooth must be there..
Press your dealership to explain... you paid them good money for the truck.. they should be able to answer this simple question.
OR, go to a different dealer.. and ASK them to explain it...
With the truck you describe you would have to have Sync as an extra charge option for BT to be present
You would have had to pair your phone to Sync, since you did not do this, and there is no way your dealer did without your knowledge, I doubt that BT paired device is the issue
You also mention it happens when vehicle is off. If that is the case, and not just during the accessory run timer after turning truck off, that doesn’t’ jive either as a BT issue.
Can you elaborate on the symptom “cluster info panel lights up”?
Here is one theory I will throw out there; The RF energy from your phone is somehow coupling into one of the trucks modules/sensors triggering this issue. Could be something defective, or maybe a connector that is not fully seated or just a wacky thing that you will never track down. Where is the phone located in the vehicle when it happens? Can you move it around the vehicle and see if it acts differently?
lastly, this would have been more appropriate in the 2017+ Superduty area as you would have received more visibility there. Many of the contributors here have pre-17 trucks.

Probably not using the correct terminology it's the information screen in the center between RPM / MPH. That's the only thing that lights up and my phone is usually laying on the center console. In retrospect I wish that I had gone with the Sync 3 system as the navigation feature could be really helpful when I'm in central L.A. I've been looking at the 4DTech upgrade but that seems a little pricey at over two grand and a minimal warranty. I really appreciate all of your feedback and the truck is coming up for it's first service and I'll definitely bring this up with the service department. If they have an answer I'll post the information.

Looks like you have the XL-optional SYNC (not SYNC 3) system with the 4.2” center display. I believe this system includes Bluetooth connectivity... check your OM for SYNC instructions (not Sync 3).

The unit shown does not have Sync. If it did it would have two extra buttons on the left side of the screen that say “phone and “menu”. The unit pictured has them as blanks. This unit just has the upgraded radio with 4.2 display included in 96V XL Value Package.
So, I wonder if the “replica pic” is an accurate representation of the OP’s actual truck? More specifically, does his truck include option 91M?
The left-side button arrangement may be different for the 2019 since the CD feature was dropped.

The first pic' was a copy off the internet...here is an actual photo of my trucks' unit which is exactly the same as the first picture. I had a little time this morning so I stopped by the dealer where I bought this truck and their service dept. isn't open on the weekends but I was able to talk to the salesman that handled my purchase. He just shook his head and brought in the sales manager...they have no clue but want me to bring it in on Monday.
Here is the picture in my truck
