Door lock actuator

Does anybody know how the latch rod is connected to the door lock actuator on a 1998 f150 and how do you remove it. Thanks.

Door lock actuator

It has an L shaped end that loops through the eyelet on the door latch itself.

Removal

NOTE: The front door window glass must be completely up.
Remove the front door panel.
Remove the front door latch remote control
Remove the watershield.
Drill out the rivet.
Disconnect the electrical connector.
Disconnect the power door lock actuator rod.
Remove the power door lock actuator.

Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
Use Heavy Duty Riveter to install the new rivet.

Door lock actuator

Thanks, figured that out but still haven't fixed problem. Locks will only unlock from after-market remote, right door switch and when key is turned off. So far I have replaced left door switch, verified both actuators function when using jump wires and did a bunch of pinpoint tests from manual. The most interesting thing I have found is that when I undue the connector on the right actuator and put a test lamp in either the orange wire of that connector or the PK/O wire at the right switch the left door actuator works from the right switch but only locks from the left. The manual has left me at service circuit 118 (PK/O) for open circuit. I am not sure how to proceed. Please, any advice. I gotta believe the dealer is going to charge hundreds to service.
