I just bought a 91 f150 with the straight 6 and it won't start.i changed the plugs and wires. I got it to start with carb cleaner i have 2 tanks but only one works I changed the fuel pump on it andchecked the fuel filter.it still just won't stay running any ideas on what to do next
Its not yellow, is it? Lol
I'm assuming since one tank doesnt work, that the tank selector switch is set to the tank that does work?
When you changed the pump, was the pigtail connector in good shape?

I take it this truck has EFI and if so does it have 1 or 2 or 3 if you have duel tanks fuel pumps?
Some trucks have a low psi pick up fuel pump in the tanks, duel tanks would have 1 in each tank (2 pumps), and then a high psi pump (1pump) on the frame to push it to the injectors.
Other truck I think only have the high psi pump in the tank so you would have 2 pumps total.
When you first turn the key to run before start do you hear any of the pumps run for say 5 seconds then stop? This prims the fuel system before you go and start it.
I also think there are fuel pump relays that could go bad and you should have 2 safety switches. I is run by oil psi so if the motor stops running the pumps stop pumping.
The other is a crash switch so if you get hit or hit something the switch opens and stops the pumps.
