Making the parklights come on with the headlights on a 64..the right way?
Awhile back I thought I had really got this figured out and working right, even added Ford relays to my headlight system after I did the park lights..until I realized my parklights dimmed with my dash lights..I got on the wrong side but rather than try to look through it again with no clue..other than it cant be constant or alow my headlights to come on with the pk llights...I'm at a loss. Anyone do this to their truck? What wire do I need to tap into?

I did this to my 1964 F250. I have a camper built onto a cab and chassis truck. There are clearance lights on top of the camper that come on with the light switch and I wired it so the parking lamps are on the same circuit. What I wired into was the brown wire going to the tail lights for the parking lights. I'll attach a couple of drawings for you.
In the front plug where it comes through the firewall I spliced into the brown wire that runs to the tail lights to get the parking lights to come on when the rest of the lights are on. Another option is the 2 wire plug below the ignition and light switch. It is the yellow wire labeled as Marker light,
To get the front parking lights to act like the tail lights wire them into the same circuit. Use the brown wire that comes out of the firewall plug on the drivers side of the engine bay.
My 1964 camper. I have all kinds of marker lights on it.

No, not the right one. Look at the first drawing. On the lower right side of the picture is a plug with 6 female and 2 male connections. It is labeled as cab side and engine side. The terminal in the bottom corner is the brown wire for the tail lights, You can splice the Black/Yellow wire into the brown wire so your parking lights will act like the tail lights. The Parking lamp has a two element bulb so your turn signals will still work with the White/Blue (R. turn) and the Green/White (L turn ) wires. In the picture below it is the rectangular wire plug at the far right side and just below the top lip of the cowl. That is a 460 EFI engine sitting in the frame. It is up and running great now. Hope you get your wires where you want them.
The plug in the firewall. Top right corner with wires coming out of it. The wires come down 6" and split. Find the Brown wire in that bunch. that is the one that goes to the tail lights and you can splice the parking light into it.

I found another Brown wire in the drawing of the Cab Wiring. Right by the number 76. It looks as if it has a bullet connector on the end of the wire. The drawing lists it as a feed wire from a fuse to the Heater motor Switch. I'm not sure where the fuse is or if they used an auxillary fuse for the Heater Motor.
