88 E-250 surging idle
This van has a 4.9L straight six,runs great,I am second owner. Have detailed maint.records from previous owner. Has about 139000 miles on it. Idle surges and is very rough almost always when not in gear (automatic C-6). sometimes so bad it kills. Have replaced just about every sensor and such, including tps, egr, etc.. Have not replaced any pvs's except air charge sensor and coolant temp.sensor. I rarely get any codes from computer, when I do, they always are in reference to the egr circuit, usually saying some voltage is high. Have cleaned the throttle body (although not lately) and have used some injector cleaner occasionally.Has had plugs replaced and other tuneup stuff recently. Problem started a few months ago, but was only occasional. Now it does it all the time, seems worse when outside temp. is high. Never does it while in gear.Other than this, it runs great and no other problems. Trying to avoid the dealer repair route. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I just checked it again a little bit ago ( thanks for asking) and I got a code 35, PFE/EPT/EVT circuit above maximum limit. I have had this code before. I haven't seen a check engine light at all through all of the time its been doing this. This code came from the soft codes, hard codes only gave an 11, normal. Also, I was checking through my records, I dont think I changed the egr position sensor when I put the new egr valve in. If you need any more info, please ask. I will not be online alot in the next few days,(work calls) but I will definately check back as soon as I can,Thanks in advance for any help!
