Newbie as this is my first post since purchasing my truck however I learned a lot prior to the purchase by lurking. I want to add the TUFSKINZ chrome Super Duty letters to the hood and wondering what is the best deflector that would still allow one to still see the letters though somewhat obscure? Light smoke, light blue, clear, etc. Or is there a brand that has Super Duty imprinted on it?
Thanks,
Rich

Reason: grammar
I went with the OEM and added Tough Skinz to the deflector. As far as "do they work"? Think it depends on where/how it's thrown. I met an oncoming car one week from taking delivery and it cracked my windshield right in the center under the windshield wipers...so it didn't work for me.
I put an AVS Bugflector on my '17 and do quite a bit of highway driving (75%ish). I can't tell a difference on the number of the bugs hitting the windshield before and after I installed it. However, it DOES protect the front edge of the hood well and also IMO looks cool. So to me, definitely worth it.
I've owned three pickups in my life so far, and installed a bug deflector on each one. Never could tell a difference before/after (each one had different brand of bug deflector) on the amount of bugs hitting the windshield. These are tall vehicles and are certain to get some, especially if you live in a buggy/kind of rural area like I do.
I have the same one that Larry has. It works well to keep stuff off the hood.
There was not one bug on the hood after driving through a few Florida “Love Bugs” a few months ago. If it kept the bugs off the hood then it definitely would protect the hood paint from rock chips.
Thanks guys for the pics and suggestions I greatly appreciate it. Larrymac52 and Flyct, I really like your setups, do you have the Ford part number and I assume it's the liquid chrome TUFSKINZ? Also for folks adding the TUFSKINZ, what is the best way to keep proper spacing of the letters and a straight line around the hood curve?
