Ford issued a statement along the lines of it was up by mistake and not accurate. They announced it will be up and running next week.

Hopefully the order guides will be released by the weekend. Order banks are supposed to open Monday.

more than I was hoping but less than I was expecting. the prices were commensurate with what I have seen with the toyota and gm mid size trucks.

Never get a vehicle in first year or two of production unless you have allot of time to run back and forth to dealer -too many headaches !

I don't think there's as much risk of first year problems with this vehicle (due to design problems). Most everything on the truck has been in production for a while already somewhere in the world.

I purchased a later build 2015 F150(July build) and never had a single issue..

If I was in the market for a new truck and it was a new model year I wouldn't hesitate to purchase one, but that's just me.

Lariat FX4 SuperCrew hits $45,000 pretty quick, STX nicely packaged for $38k. The keyless entry keypad is apparently the stick on one, looks and seems like an after thought. No Moon roof option? It's a nice looking truck. I would never pay $45k for it though, maybe $39k-$40k for a Lariat and $34k for the STX, which may be possible. Maybe it's part of the marketing? Ford might purposely make Rangers as much as F-150's (with dealer discounts and rebates on the full size) to just go after the person who only wants the mid size package. GM did this initially, but now you can get them for $5-$6k under MSRP. Not coincidentally Silverado sales are not doing so great with the increase in mid size sales. GM clearly did not dent the import mid sized market, but pulled sales from their own full size. Will be interesting to see.

Any idea if the Lariat trim will have the all wheel drive feature like the F-150 Lariat?

Sure doesn't look that way, I looked a pre-production Lariat unit in March that only had 2H/4H/4L a bit of a disappointment.

Is the Ranger likely to hit 30 MPG on the highway?

An Explorer with the 2.3 EB has a curb weight of 4,458 lbs, but Fords site doesn't specify if that's AWD or FWD or which engine. The FWD Explorer 2.3 is rated at 19 city 27 hwy the AWD 2.3 is 18/25. An F-150 SuperCrew 2.7 4x4 has a curb weight of 4,858 and is rated at 19 City 24 Hwy. So using that as a guide, if a 2wd Ranger weighs 4,250 (guessing) it should get slightly better than the Explorer I would think. I'm guessing 21/28, but 30mpg is within it's reach. Especially if Ford decides to do fuel saver package. I know it loses a bit in aero, but the rear drive is much more efficient than fwd and it would have 10 gears vs the Explorer only using 6 speeds. The 4wd Screw Ranger should weigh right around 4,550 lbs so my guess is 20 city 26 hwy. Someone should do a poll for FE guesses.
