With a GVM (Gross Vehicle Mass) same as the GVW in NA) of 10K LBS it is an F350. Not sure if any will be able to decode as we do not have access to FoA manuals here.
Nice looking rig regardless.

It is a nice looking truck. Interesting, it has a North American '87 style Bricknose front clip, but with sealed beam headlights.

Ya some one must have converted it at some point with a later front clip. But considering the data plate is pop riveted on who knows. A pic of the interior and cowl panel may settle it..... I like the sealed beam headlights though think it i looks better than plastic headlights on the NA trucks.

I believe that's how the Aussie trucks were built from the factory. I know I've seen that type of headlight used on them before in pictures.

This is my concern, I just don’t know enough about these older trucks to be sure of what I’m buying, not that it makes much difference as long as it’s not stolen and it can be registered again I suppose

Our door tags are on the left side door post and are decals. The metal door tag must have been an Aussie import requirement. You might be able to find a VIN number website for imports and then that would tell you the year of manufacture and the model. Since you guys drive southpaw it's on the right door...I suppose. I was visiting Bermuda where they drive the left side...challenging for a right brain guy!

Nice truck...I'l like to have one like that with a dumping bed for the farm! Definitely finished out with a few specialty add-ons such as the fuel tanks and cab steps.
If the drive train is in good shape and the price is right, I'd say buy it!

Thanks, yeh I’m keen to buy if all checks out. It’s got a 429 or 460 not sure how to tell the difference? And not sure if the big block was standard on this model?

It is running a turbo 400 gearbox too????

It is an 80-86 cab so looks legit. Some added the later style front clip. The steering wheel has been replaced. One of the things I would do is swap the dist cap back to the 2 piece duraspark cap. Propane needs a solid and stable ignition system more than gasoline the later 2 piece cap minimizes cross fire. This is a dual fuel propane/gasoline unit. Not sure why someone would mount a TH400 behind the 460 when the C6 is a better trans. This truck was not an Import but was produced in AUZ. by FMCoA. Externally there is no way to tell a 460 and 429 apart literally the only difference is the stroke.

It looks like a legit unit that has a few customizations so I would learn as much you can about the truck and what was modified before purchasing just so you know for future reference.
