Tapping noise while slowing down.
99 ranger 3.0l 2wd with 245000 miles. It's got a tapping when slowing down and down shifts from 2nd to first and only when I give it verry little gas. It will not make the tapping noise while in park or nuetral. Just rebuilt from the heads up back in December. So I'm thinking maybe timing chain guides are worn and slack is tapping somewhere. Anyone have this problem before?
