Is the SRW F350 with 4WD have the same axle assemblies as the Excursion 4WD vehicles do? I'm looking at a 2004 F350 4WD SRW that I'm told has 4.56 gears. If so is it an exact swap situation? I would love to have those gears in my Excursion but will only try it if they're the same. Thanks, Max
The 04 F trucks have a sterling 10.5 in the rear and a Dana 60 up front
your Ex has a 10.5 and a Dana 50
the 10.5 is compatible but the 50 uses a smaller ring gear so you can not use just the gear, . the whole Dana 60 will work if you shorthen the front drive shaft a bit.
If that F-350 is being parted out take it's front driveshaft. And be sure to make sure that they are in fact 4.56 gears before you start the work!
What engine and what size tire's does your EX have?
Following because I traded for a 99' F350 SRW earlier and was thinking about pulling the front end on it and doing gears, bearings, seals, u joints, ect... and putting it under my Ex instead of doing the existing one a piece at a time.
