Farm Truck 351W build
#46
A few updates.
The engine finally came from the machinist to my place. Of course, it was sleeting and snowing the day we decided to move it.
Luckily, its like 5 blocks away. the tarp kept it all dry.
Home. Poor Budget windsor has to take the back seat for a while.
got the timing cover, water pump, and other misc parts put on, and got the heads all taped up.
As you can tell, Dually dog is so proud of all the work he has put into these motors. the oil pan on the engine is not staying with it, so I didnt get too crazy with painting it.
looking sharp in blue.
Breaking out the shiny. The intake is just set on, it's not bolted down yet.

Even when the rest of my life feels like crap, I can always remind myself that at least i can build pretty looking windsors.

I saw your build thread, i felt that it fell somewhere between this build and my "budget windsor" build thread that I have posted in this section of the forum.
The cam I'm running is a Comp XE270. It's a dang good match for this build.
As far as pans go, you need to determine if you need a front sump or a rear sump. I know my truck takes a rear sump. After that, just start looking on places like Summit, Jegs, and Speedway to see what they all have available.
