interchangeable parts

I have a 1999 f250 superduty w/v10. i have a chance to pick up a 2000 superdutyw/v10 for $2000.lost title. is it worth picking up for parts? are the majority of parts interchangeable? thank you

A lost title can be replaced by the owner. Be wary of this, don’t want to possess stolen property

Every state allows an owner to obtain a new title. The current owner just has to complete a form.

I, too, would be VERY concerned if the ‘owner’ makes some lame excuse. If he gives you a reason why he can’t, take it as a lie. If you do buy it sans title, the police can take it away (if it is stolen) and you have no recourse to get your money back as be certain the seller will have disappeared.
