That IS good to know. Was this only used during 75? My 75 has the "Low Fuel Economy" light in the gauge cluster, but I never bothered to check out how it works.
I remember once I had the 460 in the truck rebuilt and the horsepower went up considerably (Stock form around 215ish to 427 after rebuild) that the light would always stay on, which I thought was funny, so I left it that way. I knew it worked off vacuum, but never bothered to see where it got the signal from.
The part pictures is nothing more than a vacuum operated switch. High vacuum and the switch is open (light off) and low vacuum closes the switch (light on). Not sure of the set point of the switch, but did anyone ever expect to get anything other than "low fuel economy" with a 4x4?
