99 Expedition rear bags inflate but not front shocks

So new problem came up. Seems to not be your normal air suspension issue.

My back bags fill up just fine, but it seems that fronts don't fill at all. In fact my front bump stops are up against the frame.

Are there solenoids that can fail that prevent air from going in? Or do the solenoids only vent the air out?

Can is there a way to test the relay under the bumper to see if it has somehow failed? Or if it failed would all 4 corners be flat?

Yes there is a separate solenoid as well as a separate height sensor for the front. The height sensor has a ball and socket end connection that tends to wear out and pop off. It's in behind the front driver side tire, connected to the upper control arm.

Height sensor is attached. In fact I unhooked it to see if it would make it raise by moving it through it's range of motion.

Is there an easy way to try and energize that solenoid to see if it lets air in?

Only with the $3K dealer scan tool. You're stuck running power directly to the solenoid to test it. You can also test for power at the solenoid at it's pigtail. If there is power then you know the solenoid isn't working.
