Congrats!! FWIW I have that same motor/axle combo in a 17 and couldn't be happier with, well done.

Thank you! It does have the Hankooks and they do look quite stout. I didn't realize how dated my 2011 truck is until I drove Sarah's last night. Well done Ford!!!
I started crunching a few numbers for myself and my bride saw that gleam in my eye. Just that one look from ended that euphoric high. LMAO!!!
She did good there Tim. I've got the same truck only SCab. That package is really nice with the console and floor shifter, and black interior, especially with the exterior color.
On the Hankooks though, where you guys are with the mild winters and the AT/M's they're likely fine, up here, they're total junk. Have to use 4H a lot.
Now, let the mods begin!!!!!
$10k off is a respectable amount, especially if it's a popular model and you were picky. By the looks of that truck, you had to be picky!
I got $10k off mine too. I e-mailed the dealer and pointed out other F-150's similarly discounted and he agreed to that for that although he tried to get me to choose another but I was insistent on that silver F-150, it had EXACTLY what I wanted. I used Ford.com to locate the specific configuration and it was the only one that I could find within 100-mile radius (including Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Diego - I live between all three in Orange County). Perhaps the 6.5' beds and the 5.0L V8 aren't too popular in space-conscious and environmentally-sensitive California.
Tell her she can have yours and you’ll get a new one! But seriously, let her live with yours for a few days. She may decide that she likes the idea better than the reality. My wife hates parking mine.

Must be a different tire than what came on mine. My factory Hankooks were toast at 35K miles. All 4 were worn to the wear bars and no, I don't spin my tires.

He has the 275/55/20s. If you had the 275/60/18, I agree. That tire is just to small for the truck so it wears poorly. My Dad had those tires and the shoulder wore very quickly.
Well, now that I've been deeply involved with Sarah's purchase, I'll add some thoughts:
Prearrange your own financing but by all means go after the Ford financing and get the $1000 being offered even if you intend to refi later.
Don't be afraid to walk out. The first dealer couldn't get her done by Ford credit but instead wanted to push her towards a bank at 7.5% APR, they refused to name the bank until we got into the finance office. That made me nervous and I killed the deal right there and away we went. While we were at the second dealer, the first one called with an update. He said that he was able to work on the APR and then divulged who the lender would be. I very politely told him that his finance office seemed a bit shady and that he lost my confidence that the dealer would live up to it's own hype.
Don't be afraid to tell the other dealers down stream if any that you've been shopping, they will figure it out anyway and possibly catch you in a lie.
tell them want you want and expect from this deal right up front. Don't be wishy washy and all over the place with your expectations.
