Im new to this forum and PSD. I would like to hear everyones take on these tuners before I purchase one. Can you get the same performance with either one of these, or is one better in that area. From what I understand the Predator gives you much more flexability to tune than the SCMT.
The SCMT's highest setting has slightly more torque than the Diablo Predator. It also costs less.
Its code reader is just that: a code reader. No text output and no live diagnostic and sensor data.
The SCMT cannot be user upgraded.
The Predator has more features such as shift firmness adjustment, text code reading and end user upgrades. Its diagnostic capabilities are world class.
It all boils down to whether the extra features are worth the extra money to you. Both products have similar satisfaction rates.
which one would u recommend if i wanted just a little more oomph to push 38" meats...while getting better gas mileage. i doubt i will alter the exhaust. thanks

I wouldn't use either the SCMT or Predator for the 38 tires. I'd go with a Diablo 54/78 switch chip that is set to correct your speedometer for your tire size.

that's a lot of money ...im not concerned about the speedo, since i am a slow driver anyways. with the exception of speedo calibration would i be ok with the SCMT then? im trying to keep cost down and the only thing that concerns me is my mileage.
my last truck was 13% off and i was used to it
