2005 axle swap....

So I recently did a 2005 F350 axle swap on my truck and the rear axle is off center in the rear wheel well. Instead of trying to move all the hangers forward an inch I was thinking of using the relocation plates. However, I've only seen plates for 2.5" leafs not 3" leafs.

Will the plates for the thinner leafs work on the wider leafs? Should I just measure the offset and drill the block? Other ideas?

I don’t know where to find them but just from experience after I swapped my 05 axles in I had a slightly bad pinion angle and ended up messing up a pinion yoke I had to run 4 degree shims to correct it

It's not the pinion angle off, it's the fact that the axle is physically off center in the wheel well. It needs to move forward.

I'm curious why it is out of center? Did you use the 05 rear springs? Is the spring mount to axle different than the OBS?

I pulled my hangers off because they needed replaced and used the ones from the 05' I didn't measure I just lined up what original holes I could, filled some in and drilled some new ones. Now it sits towards the rear.

What rear springs and blocks are you using? OEM springs and OEM blocks? Or aftermarket lift blocks?

Usually that's caused when people use aftermarket lift blocks on the 05+ trucks. PMF rear blocks will allow you to center the axle in the wheel well if that's the case.

Whatever came on the rolling chassis I bought. Fairly sure everything is OEM to my knowledge, but I wasn't able to talk to original buyer. My dad picked it up for me since I'm stationed on the other side of the country essentially.

I'll look into the blocks though.
