Old problem became new again
I have a 1994 F-150. The 4.9l is a 1992. The. 5 speed transmission 1997/98 A few years back I had to put a starter and clutch in the truck. Had a few problems, but with a few spacers, I was able to get it to work. At the time, I didn't know my transmission was a 97/98 So all the parts I bought was for a 94. Now that I needed to replace the starter, it is causing me headaches. I have noticed that the bell housing cover plate doesn't fit properly. I can't seen to find the correct one. I also noticed, after doing some research. the 94 and the 97/98 have different fly wheels. Does anyone know the difference? Does it matter?
