New here with a question
I will get to my issue right away. I recently purchased a 1996 F350 4wd Crewcab with the diesel. The truck has some issues which I will be asking for advice in the future, however I just wanted an answer asap with an issue. The truck has a lift kit installed...appears to be the Rough Country 4" lift...the truck cab has a "lean" to the drivers' side. I will post photos further.
I checked for most possibilities that I know of (body mounts) The only thing that I have discovered seems to be the problem. Not knowing these trucks like you all do, maybe someone can verify something for me.
The front leaf spring have shackles on the front. So my question is are these supposed to be unequal lengths (mounting bolt-to mounting bolt). My intellect says no, however the left side one is not as long (4" as opposed to the approximate 5" for the other one). If this happens to be a normal thing then I can go back to determining what's causing the lean.
Is this a normal condition?
I would guess that in the past (improper) parts were changed-out and called good. What say you all?
Alright, Your confirmation is good enough for me.
it would not make a whole lot of sense for the shackles to be different sizes.
I will just get two new replacements
