6 speed 2019 or 9 speed 2020 transmission

That's insanely good mileage while towing, considering your average speed during those 364 miles was over 60 mph.

Why the need to insult the EcoBoost, George? Hmm, let's see. The 10-speed is also used on the gas 5.0L V8. It's also what I have in my 2018 Raptor. The little V6 and two "hair dryers" makes 510lb-ft along with identical horsepower to a current Powerstroke. 510lb-ft is substantial enough for comparison to diesel torque...not 1000lb-ft, but half, and more than any other gas truck engine, HD or not.
My 10 speed shifts OK enough, but there is a noticeable lurch between 3-4; the rest is smooth. It's always been there. When I first got the Raptor, my initial thought was how much smoother the 6-speed transmission was. And having both another 2017 diesel and my Raptor together reinforces that. Look at the ratio spread between a current 6-speed and 10-speed in the half tons. Its not much different, and there is less spread between it and the ZF8 speed RAM uses. On the Raptor, at least the top three gears are nothing more than overdrives. Hard throttle input causes an immediate downshift to a normal low gear, not much different than the 6-speed.

Not trying to offend, but I guess in this day and age, everyone takes offense at someone or something. I simply refer to turbos as hair dryers because the resemble one another.
But Please, stop with the comparisons with gas vs. diesel horsepower to make a point.. We all know the differences. I owned a 425hp Caterpillar in a 379 Pete and I guess that is somehow comparable Power plant to the 3.6 eco?
The eco is a fine engine if you can (IMO) deal with the sound, but please..... it has its place, and not a good barometer for comparison....and it’s light years behind the torque of the 6.7L
Bottom line is torque, and a the 10 speed will make it so much easier to refine and tune for the 6.7L.
I’ll will buy one, and you can simply opt out.
There, settled.
