Diesels are arriving at dealers now.

If it really stood on par with the 3.5 ecoboost and was also offered in same trim levels (with just a few thousand more for the diesel engine upgrade), then it would probably make a decent choice based on functionality/economics and not on desire, ego, status symbol etc etc.
However, the arrogance of Ford asking that much for such an anemic dog is beyond belief.
I hope Ford really learns two lessons from this 1. they enjoy having another Edsel on their hands and 2. that the consumer is actually a wee bit smarter than they actually gave them credit for.
Good Luck Ford with your Fiero-150

Most diesel buyers will want a truck they can work and not so much about interior amenities....Ford can save this boondoggle by quickly getting it into the lower trim levels but it will have to leave the dealers lot at 35-38k, maybe 40 tops, afterall, 2500/F-250 series trucks are out there all day long for the low 40's. However, if that far less than capable 3.0 engine starts giving trouble it will be an Fiero-150, an Edsel....toast to the consumer
Im glad I dont have any Ford stock, LOL they tried to pull a fast one here....some flawed logic in that corporation somewhere... LOL 65-70k for dog.

Rationalize that dog any way you want too...its your money... go drop 65-70 k on it and feel real proud of it...but most folks who actually use a truck other than a ego soother or a pimped out town car grocery getter will know better... please keep in mind that the definition of affluence is:" Trying to impress people you dont like with money you dont have", lol regardless of where you live....LOL as I suspected the 3.0 Fiero-150 at 70k is maybe useful after all...as simply as tool to overcompensate with

I'm not "keeping up" in my old age, but the 3.0 was never in a Feee Air Oh, and that was one of many, many piece of crap cars GM made... So what is the connection? Please ignore my ignorance, but we could go into other F'ups GM made in the past...
And i agree that they need to put that "new" diesel down in the XL level, where it still will have trouble with a 2.7EB as competition... Speaking of which: just had a friend finally get a buyback on his PIECE OF CR^P ecodiesel Ram 1500, and he's buying a nice F150, that won't quit running every 20 miles down the road...
Now that Fiat owns Ram, I'd probably buy a Durablast before going through all the other things besides the engine that goes wrong with them... Check out Consumer Reports or JD Power: FCA = CRAP...
