Brake issues on my 96 F250

I've replaced the brakes front and back. New wheel cylinders and rebuilt calipers. Replaced the master cylinder and bypassed the rabs unit. There is a adapter on 1 of the outlets on the M/C. It has a little plastic valve? in this adapter. What does this unit do? Can you buy a new one? Without rabs do I need this unit?

Residual pressure valve for the drum brakes. Keeps a little bit of pressure in the rear brake lines. I do not know if you can buy one since I’ve never looked for a replacement. Yes you need to keep it in the system. Did you bypass the RABS module because it broke?
