bench seat swap
I was wondering how hard it is to swap between the bench seat in an 81 Ranger package to the captain's chairs. I still have the original owners manual, and it says the bench seat was an option, so i assume the other option is the bucket seats. Would i have to put new brackets in, and if so, would i be drilling the holes?

Ranger? AWW MAN!! I GOT LOST AGAIN!!! Now I'm in the Ranger forum! I wanted to go to the Bronco forum!.........For the most part BDCLARK, same year diff seats, just get the mounting brackets for the new seats with the seats. Should bolt right up. Ford isnt too keen on changing the bolt pattern just for a different set of seats, especially if they are an option. They would of made the bolt pattern similar so that the seats types can be switched easily, even at the the dealeship. But to be sure...check the Ranger forum. Just back up and take a left at the last turn.
