No-start sanity check
Just changed the front brake rotors and pads, when compressing the second piston the fluid reservoir overflowed and a bit of brake fluid pissed out - I'm guessing it was topped up while in a shop, because aside from bleeding the brakes after changing them, I don't add fluid. I used the usual jack points. Went to do a test drive and the truck won't start - there's a single solid clunk sound.
II would normally go through the usual solenoid and starter troubleshooting, but given that unusual fluid overflow, I checked what the fluid soaked and saw the connector to the frame harness had got very wet. So I disconnected it and sprayed it out with contact cleaner, because that was the only event.
At this point I'm wondering if there's some brake safety switch or brake related sensor that I should be checking first. The only sensor I can imagine is for the fluid level, so the brake job shouldn't be connected...but the timing makes me suspicious.
