Truxedo Truxport or Gator SR1 or Access Vanish
Hey guys - after much consternation and tons of research, I think I am going with a soft roll up tonneau. At least to start with. The main reason is that I am relatively certain that I will get a cap in the next two years and I would rather not waste $800-1200 on a hard tonneau that I will ultimately remove.
I think I have narrowed it down between the Truxport and the vanish. I actually like the Lo Pro - but it's nearly $200 more than the Truxport so it's out. The Gator SR1 is also an option and it seems to be identical to the Truxport - and it's slightly cheaper.
My big question is - is one better than the other in terms of reliability, construction, etc. Or is there really no difference? I like the spring loaded nature of both the Truxport and the SR1, but the Vanish is much lower profile and I definitely like that.
Thoughts? Thanks for your help!

My experience is they all offer the "out of sight, out of mind" quality, but share the same "let's take a look... slash" quality, as well.
If you know that a cap is in your future, get the cheapest one, because resale after a year or two on soft tonneau covers seems poor, at best. You might get $100 back, but loose $400, for the basic same offering. It won't be watertight, so I found the more you spend might not offer better protection from elements or interested eyes.

I've had two Access covers by Agri-Cover on my last two trucks. The first was on my old '07 Sierra that was on from the end of '07 till I got rid of it in '15. I never had to re-adjust the tension on it. I now have another Access cover on my '15 XLT. I believe the Access covers are the best looking of all the roll up covers and they seem to be pretty tough. As for water tightness. If you take your time and line everything up properly it will be fine. Mine is 99.8% water tight. I get a little wetness by the tailgate, that's it.
