Hey Fellas. I have a 1979 F250 4x4 with a 351m and c6 automatic transmission. Sometimes when driving the needles on the fuel gauge, and the temperature start vibrating side to side like mad. Does anybody have an explanation and/ or a remedy for this? Thanks
Is it only the fuel/temp gauges, and not oil gauge too? If it were all three I would say for sure a bad ICVR. It's still possible it's a bad ICVR but somewhat odd it's only two gauges affected and not all three (the ammeter gauge is not part of ICVR circuitry).
You can try adjusting the pulse on the ICVR and see if that improves anything (it should read about .5v every second when tested).
