We had flies bad this week camping in Wyoming next to a reservoir. The fly swatter was used a lot. I bought a fly trap at my local Ace Hardware yesterday to try out. I didn't notice any crawling bugs, just the flying ones.
A net vestibule mounted to the side of the trailer where the door is would help keep some of the bugs out. But I'm not sure it's worth the hassle.

What kind of bugs? Each species has to be dealt with in a different way. We've never had roaches, silverfish, etc., but have to deal with "stink bugs" and ladybugs every now and then. Flies = fly swatter. We've had a few problems this summer with gnats but think it's mostly related to the amount of fresh produce we keep around. Controlling breeding places and food sources are the best places to start.
