I traced the line and the oil gauge (mechanical one that leaks all over the inside of my cab) goes to the front right (if your standing in front of my truck) of the engine (302) I am trying to figure out how I am going to "plug" it up when I remove it. I have no idea how to do this and dont want to unplug it and watch my oil drain out. Anyone point me in the right direction?
The sender? Your speaking a little bit of german here.
So the plug thats in there...it unscrews, if I take it out will oil start spewing out till its empty? I take the piece that I unscrew with me to CT and look for a plastic plug...that screws in? And if itscrews in nice then its good and I can screw the actual piece back in (after loosing how much oil?) And I'm good to go?
Sorry Dennis never done anything with this before.
Sorry, I didn't mean sender, I meant where the tube & coupler are installed.
Do Not get a plastic plug.
Get a steel or Brass plug for it.
A little goop on the threads and you're done.
But how much oil is going to leak out when I do it? Should I do it at CT so that I can go back inside and buy more oil if to much spills in the parking lot? (I'm really mad at this one store so I'll be nice and give them my business. and any oil that spills out)
But seriously. Am I looking at a few drips or is it going ot drain on me? It's right at the bottom of the block...
