I have a 1976 Ford F250. I do pulling contests and last time I change my oil I noticed I got a quarter cup of clear water before the oil came out. The oil looked good no milkshake look or white Ness. If this is coolant leaking in my engine if I change the oil after every event( in about 3 pulls) will I save the engine for awhile? It's a 360 Fe with a aluminum intake but everything else is stock. What do you guys think is happening?? Coolant leak internally? Or just condensation? I run 15w40 so I doubt the oil gets boiling hot ever? Head gasket or intake manifold leak? Or if I leave it and just change oil will I spin a bearing or make tons of wear in the engine? Thank you guys!!
Ok sounds good my concern right now is if it's coolant or water. I think the only way to find that out is a oil sample right? Or is there a simplier way to find out very quick?
Ok it runs very well so I'm doubting a head gasket I'm think intake manifold or maybe something isn't torqued correct. I'll let ya know if I find anything else
It's a 360 right....Those FE motors share an oil bath on the top end. The intake is part of the head. You could be sucking in coolant at the head/intake.
