Single or two speed wipers? If two speed wipers, is the windshield washer switch located above the ignition switch or incorporated within the wiper switch?

Best bet is to find a good switch in a truck at your local junkyard. I just had to replace mine because the old one shorted out and melted. Now we can drive in the rain again! There were multiple switches for 61-66 trucks around, just took some walking and rummaging. Just one threaded ring that holds the switch on from the front. Good luck to you!
after a little research I found that the wiper switch from an 87-88 pickup with the intermittent wiper box is a perfect fit, no wiring changes and works great. its kinda nice to have the intermittent option too. the part #on the box is 8Z3-260-8H10 and has another # 17c476

The intermittent wiper switch is E7TZ-17A553-A (marked: E7TB-17A553-CA). The intermittent wiper governor is E9TZ-17C476-A (replaced E7TZ-17A476-A - marked: E7TF-17C476-AB or CA).
This is the intermittent wiper governor, someone has scratched out the ID numbers prefix of E7TF // Visible is the 17C476 basic number and the ID numbers CA suffix
thanks for the info! im really happy it worked. I called the 3 places you gave me and all were sold out. its crazy how difficult some parts are to find
