I swapped out the tires and wheels today and used new ford TPMS sensors and now the system is faulted out and i cant reset. I had the guys at 4WPW try and reset it but after recognizing the sensors their scan tool could not reset the system so what can i do at this point? I am not sure what to do with the truck at this point as i am going farther down the rabbit hole with MODs and issues. LOL we ll like every computer issue i guess it just fixed itself by just turning it off and letting it sleep and reset.
Hopefully just giving it some time will fix it. I had my tires rotated a couple of weeks ago and it took awhile before the TPMS system would show the correct pressures. For the first few miles it had me thinking that the tech had rotated the tires but not reset the pressures, as it was showing the front tires with higher pressures than the rear instead of the other way around.
After awhile it auto corrected or reset and worked fine.
It has reset on its own and then freeked out again and reset yet again, i wounder it it has to do with my beadlocks blocking the signal. The Hutchinson beadlocks come with a large rubber doughnut that's about 3/8 inch thick and fiber reinforced that locks both beads of the tire on the inside, i wounder if this disrupts the signal since it has not metal to pass through.

How does it know to do this?? Mine also self adjusted within a few miles after tire rotation! Pretty neat trick!
