Front brake advice

I've got some problems with the front brakes on my 97 F-250 2wd. It started with a warped front rotor and got worse from there. One rotor is severly grooved and will need replacing. Both rotors are dragging however. Here are my questions;
Is there a specific brand of rotor and pad that is not going to warp again?
What could cause the dragging front brakes and what is the solution?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Best Regards,
Scott

Front brake advice

unfortunately there is not a brand out there that will not warp. I have been thur several different manufactures on both my 95 f 150 and my 99 tarus and have had several rotors warp or come out of the box out of round.

I would recommend that if you buy, try rebestos (heavy duty) have them mic,ed and turned for any out of round and use a ceramic set ofpads. check your calipers for damage and if they move back into the casing properly and easily.

and as for what can cause the dragging brakes can be related to :

1 bad calipers
2 if you have abs. bad dump valve (or relief valve)
3 debrie in your brake lines
4 just could be your driving habits I know my wife rides the brakes hard. causing alot of unneeded heat and that can also lead to problems
