The printed circuit on the back of my 80 Bronco’s instrument cluster is suffering from a loss of bond between the copper strips that mate with the harness connector and the PC backer. I have concerns that these strips may shift or roll the next time I attempt to install the connector.
Has anyone reglued the strips to the backer? I was thinking superglue but that is not recommended for resin-based boards due to chemical attack. Unsure if it would be an issue here. I’ve seen liquid electrical tape but it seems too thick. Any other ideas out there? The PC is good so I hate to replace it.
After dealing with my dash gauges and the strip during the rebuild and a different type of plug on another project I would fork up the $100 and do it right the first time.
Could try the hot glue but when it fails when doing it you have a back up plan.
If you use the glue take and post up pictures so others might do the same.

I have used superglue with no apparent problems so far.
Good to hear. I ran a test on an unused strip tonight and was pleased with the initial holding power. The big trick will be to minimize the glue so it doesn't spill out to adjacent strips. I had a little excursion on the test run so I may use a toothpick or something to apply it on the other strips.
Will take some before and after pics and advise how it turns out.
