Need Help with Trailer TPMS

I had the TPMS harness and trailer tire valves installed last week. I am now trying to do the set up process but am having difficulty. I released the air out of each tire and heard the honk after each tire, and when I finished the screen said "Training Complete". I turned the truck off and added the correct amount of air back into each tire. Now when I start the truck the screen says "Tire Pressure Low" and has no numbers next to the tires on the screen, just blank lines.

I just about burned out my air compressor adding the air back into the trailer tires, so I hesitate doing this all over again if I'm doing something incorrectly. Can anyone offer any advice?

Thanks!

trailer TPMS

My truck reads the trailer tire pressure only after I drive a few miles. If I turn the truck off, like getting fuel, same thing, reads the pressure after a few miles. Hope this helps.

I installed my entire system myself and can help.

It takes awhile for the computer to read the tire pressures once you pump them back up to specs.

You may even need to drive the trailer a bit before all the trailer tires are reading.

With mine 2 tires started reading after a few minutes and the other two not until after I drove the trailer a bit.

I love my system, it works without flaw so far.

I just read your post again a realized who you are.

Sorry it took so long to respond to your previous pm, I did not know I had a message waiting for a long time.

Guess I need to learn more about how this pm system works, I never got a notification or email.

Thanks, guys, for taking the time to respond. I will try towing my trailer and seeing if that fixes the problem. A much better solution than burning out my air compressor!

It worked! I took my trailer for a short ride, probably about 6 miles or so. Checked the trailer tire pressure on the screen and it showed a reading for one tire. Left the engine running and after about 30 seconds or so, the screen showed a tire pressure for all of the trailer tires.

Thanks for your help, guys!
