Recently replaced my radio with one made for my truck. It is am/fm cd player single din.
My problem is once installed it I get static when I use my wipers, put on my brakes or use my AC. Didn't they make a filter to get rid of this stuff, or is there a fix, anyone that can help would be greatly appreciated.
Just a quick question. where did ford ground these trucks?
2 motor grounds IIRC. plus more.
Diesel doesn't suffer the same problems as gassers do with the radio whine and the coil packs and such. So if you do get a whine, its usually something like a bad battery or a shorted wire picking up flea power.
OK guys took off both kick panels and removed the ground wires on each side. I sanded and cleaned them all up and reinstalled. I also removed the antenna wire from it and looked it over. once everything was put back together the radio worked like it should. I thank all that replied you folks really helped me out. Thanks again
