Still looking for help with Radiator and bed panel
I have psoted this question several times and I get no replies but I will keep trying in case one of you can help.
The radiator mounting on the F350 (66) seems to be different than on the F100. All the ads I see for new radiators say F series trucks but the one out of my 68 F100 will not bolt into the 66 F350.
Any advise?
Also, any leads on a drivers side long bed stepside bed panel.
Thanks

I can't help with interchangeability, but a good radiator shop in your area should be able to find the correct one for you. The book at the radiator shop I used listed one that wouldn't fit my 64 (the mounting flange was on the wrong side of the core) - so they just took measurements from the original and matched one up with the dimensions listed in the back of the book - it bolted right in; I'm betting a shop near you could do the same. If they get it wrong on the first shot it's also a LOT easier to exchange it locally than it is if you order one over the internet...

David,
You've got a couple things going on there. Here's the answer tho
There's a difference between 66 & 68 style support core panels, and a difference between radiators by year, engine size/type and so forth.
Though all F series of a single group of year models interchange
among themselves, parts from all groupings will not necessarily interchange in other, incompatable, groups.
A 66 body will bolt on a 79 chassis, but one can't bolt 79 body parts to 66 body. This is not to say it can't be adapted, or it will not work, I'm saying many such parts will not interchange within their components, if components are from another year/model group. 78 door hinges do not fit & work on 67 trucks, 68 hoods do not fit 66 or 76 truck bodies etc etc.
Radiator mounting is & will be specific to the support core panel of the year grouping that radiator is made for. Although the tanks, core & outlets may be exactly the same, the mounting straps my be completely different.
If/ When groupings are comingled radiator my hit fan, or be too far ahead, too high, too low, and so forth.
Radiators will follow same year groupings as trucks they fit. This is Roughly; 1961 -64, 1965 & 66, 1967 - 72, and 1973 - 79.
THis applies to F100 thru F350 only. F450s - up are not included.
And as said, Engine + Transmission type also make a difference.
This is why 1967-72 radiators do not fit 1965-66 trucks and/ or vice-a-versa. It has nothing to do with F100 to F350 interchange.
FWIW. . . F450 (like medium SBCs) thru F700 use 1967 - 1972 style cab through 1979 production run. . .how confusing is that? [SBC=school bus chassis. Same as C&C= Cab & Chassis, medium & medium heavy, class 6, trucks go by] FBp

The new radiators you are looking at have two mounting styles, a front and a rear flange. The OE radiator only has the style used for that year. My'66 F100 has a front flange mount, but the new radiator I have has both flanges. That way one rad. fits more than one application. By the way, in '66 the radiator core support for the 2 wheel drive F100 does not interchange with any other model in that year. I looked for more than a year before finding one.

I know the 65-66 F-350's are unique unto themselves in many respects. I've had a major learning curve with this. They use the inner fenders from 60-64 but body panels from 65-66. There is a wesite that lists the differences http://home.earthlink.net/~jcpurut/body/body.html
hope that link works for you. If not let me know and I'll e-mail it directly to you. Look carefully and you should be able to narrow down your choices. I've got to do the same thing. But there's too much else to do before I start looking at radiators.
One Ton
TWO 1965 F-350's 352 FE w/ New Process 435
Also talk with Chuck @ Chucks Trucks "Do a web search for Chuck's Trucks and go to the LLC link". He can get those panels fabricated for you. I've allready spoken with him about an entire bed, they have to custom fabricated but he knows what you need. You may also ask him about the radiator.
