Oil Filter.

Was gonna do the first oils change on my 1951 Ford F3 , ordered a new filter. Once I removed my old filter as you can see in the picture it’s almost doubled the size of the new filter. Every where I look everyone is selling the smaller filter. Where can I get a filter same as mine .

Are there part numbers on the old filter you can reference? I see you're Canadian. Canadian trucks did have a different, larger filter than US applications. That might be a place to start, and I'm sure there's someone here that has been there before that may be along shortly with more info.

If you have the Canadian full flow filtration system, use NAPA filter number 1021. If you post a picture of the plumbing to the filter we can confirm it is that type.

OK I'm impressed.
Here it is. It looks to be the same.

The original filter would have been a Fram C-184

which now cross references to:

Replacement oil filters for Fram C184:

Brand Model
--------------------------------------
Baldwin P52
Donaldson P550117
Fleetguard LF504

For Napa Canada the equivalent part number appears to be NGF 1021

I haven't tried any of the above yet for actual fitment, but I do know the Fram C-184 part number is correct.
