New here, and hoping for information .just rebuilt my first transmission..everything went pretty good..got it together and only could get 50 lbs, pressure.so I put a kit in valve body..Now pressure jumps from zero to 110 as I excelerate..no forward or reverse until I floor it..then barely moves..any ideas will be great..sure don't want to pull it out again..
I rebuilt my FMX about 7 years and 40,000 miles ago, and it still works as new.
(It wasn't a 100% brand new rebuild, as the rebuild kits don't include every conceivable part.)
I fitted a Transgo shift kit shortly after. (Not the performance one, just the 'corrective' one.)
At the time, and until today, I get basically zero pressure at idle, a constant pressure at steady higher rpms, and high pressure in reverse (even at idle).
I could not match the pressure readings in the book I used. (Mine are lower)
I thought about using the other port to fit the pressure gauge to see if it changed any, but I couldn't be bothered.
So, if your C6 changes gear smoothly both at cruising and at WOT, I.E. it works as it should, I wouldn't stress about the readings you're seeing.
