2002 7.3 no power

2002 7.3 no power

303 relay clicks, no fuses blown, fuel pump works, fuel heater is unplugged I do not have power to fuel shut off switch. I have come to a lost on what else could be wrong.

Is it trying to start but not firing or just clicking?

No fire at all

Do you have the valve covers off? You can visually see the oil discharge from the injectors if they are firing.

The motor needs to get above 500rpm and the voltage has to be above 10.5V for the injectors to fire.

No I don't have valve cover off but it was suggested that I check the ips and cps.

Read voltage across the lead battery while cranking to verify you are not dropping below 10.5V.

Big time tip there. I chased a problem with my old f150. It was this. I had just enough voltage not running to make me look everywhere else. Still no crank.

When I figured this out I was dropping crank voltage way to low.

Changed battery. Problem solved.
