Which rearend do I have?
1996 F150 2WD Inline 6 Mazda 5sp.
4wheelparts.com says I have per:

8.8" rear axle- Ring & Pinion
and a post in the message boards says it is a 2.73 ratio.
Does anyone know for sure or can tell me how I can check myself?

Which rearend do I have?
There's a number of different ways to tell. One is to look at your door code and look in the back of your owners manual, or get underneath and get the numbers on a little tag on the differential.
BTW, you do have a 8.8"
