I purchased an SCT tuner from Five Star 3 months ago. It works perfectly but the tunes didn't make any noticeable difference in my 2001 F250 v10. So, rather than holding on to it I want to sell it. It's the complete package with the box and everything. What would a reasonable price be? I realize it'll need to be "unlocked" or something. Thoughts? Not looking to get rich. Just want to recoup some of my loss.
Positive it's plugged in. I notice a difference in shift points, especially in the tow tune. No other noticeable difference, IMO. I really don't feel like it's much more responsive over stock. To me, not worth the money. The tow tune would be handy if towing I think but the performance and economy tunes are useless. Stock will work fine for me.
I'm interested in this. I am curious about the unlocked portion, in my past with COBB accessport tuners they have to be "unmarried" or it's just a paperweight. What tunes came with the tuner? I have a 2000 f350 DRW so the tuner should be the same.
The tuner has with it the ODB2 cable, computer software, USB cable and manuals, all in the original box. It has economy, performance and tow tunes on it from Five Star. 2 of each. That's the thing, not sure what it takes to "unmarry" it from my truck. I'm sure it's just a couple clicks by a computer guy at Five Star but I'm sure that comes at a premium.

Ok what you looking to get for it. I'll call them tomorrow about unmarrying it.
Also where are you located? Maybe in socal?
With my 2001, it knocked a full second off the 0-60 which was around 10.1 seconds stock, to around 9.0 or 8.9 tuned with 87 performance tune (granted, mostly in the shifting, most likely).
