Hard Starting '81

I have a '81 with the 351W. When I start it in the mornings, it takes a try or two and then I have to let it warm up, or when i accelerate, it dies. I am fine with that because it is old, and has not been rebuilt to my knowledge. the problem is that now it won't start up even when it is warm sometimes. It sounds like it is not getting enough from the battery, which is new. I was thinking solenoid, but my wife says she pumped the gas and it fired right up. any suggestions will be appreciated. I am already planning on a solenoid replacement, but i am wondering what else i should try

look at all batty cables at batty, starter, and the grounds; esp down low to frame and to engine.

yeah, I had the same thought. I replaced all that crap about 6 months ago for starting problems. This is not a severe as what it feels like when there is corrosion involved. thakns fo0r the suggestion

Change 2 things .........ur coil and ur votge box going to the coil when ur buying take the old one with u and match the color on the plug intake....Brown....or Blue or Black
