I have a 94 F-350, crew cab. What the hell do I call this? I see Super Crew, Heavy Duty, etc. I've been reading this forum for awhile now and never gave it much thought.
JK. The name thing seems a recent development. I guess "Pickup" doesn't get it anymore. If it's any consolation I think those older style are more Super than the new "superduty"(s). I don't like the D50 front end or the sealed non servicable bearings the SD's have. Do like the new trannies better and the Intercooler on the PSD's though.
Thanks RRMike. Need a history lesson now. Is my truck the same as todays Superduty? I'm trying catch up on my Ford background. Owned one of those other types for many years.
No not the same. Different body style. Slightly different rear axle. Better front axle. Different trannie if it's an auto. (E4OD)vs.(4r100). SSupposed to be some improvements on the 4R100 to handle the torque of the psd and v-10. The 5 speed is the same if the SD has that trannie but the psd's have a 6 spd that was not available back then.
