I have a 93 Ford Explorer 4x4 Limited. The ABS Light is on and always stays on. I have changed pads and shoes, blead the brake system, checked fuses, and disconnected battery, to try to get the abs back to working. I thought it was just not working because the shoes were so bad that they had cracks and pieces missing, but appears to be something else.
Does anyone have any ideas, and what I should do, or check for?
Thanks
i talked to a guy that knows about about brakes and teaches brakes etc...anyways i rem him talking to me and my friends and he was saying that when the ABS light turns on and stays on it just means that the ABS system is not working......u can still drive the car like that for a long time and it will we ok. and its usally a wheel sensor-
Check the ABS line that comes off the brakes. I had new tires put on a 93 a few years back and somehow, the ABS Wire on the front passenger wheel got spun around and it was rubbing the inside of the tire, which ended up making my ABS light come on.
Any good tricks to remove the sensor from a 99 Ranger manifold? The manifold was replace 40K miles ago and I'm not sure they applied anti-seize. I've already tried the propper socket, on a hot or cold engine.
Does PB Blaster really absorb deep enough to be helpful?
I hate to use a breaker bar and risk breaking something.
