2008-2016 Rear SuperDuty bumper installation questions

I am in the process of replacing my old rear bumper with a 2016 SuperDuty take-off. I have it painted to match and am ready to install.

Q1: bumper brackets; do I use the old ones or the ones that came with the 2016 bumper?

Q2: backup sensors; the old ones are larger diameter than the new bumper mounting clips. Do the old ones fit?

Q1: Use the brackets from your Excursion.
Q2: Pick up the grommets for a '08-'16 SD

So there were no modifications needed at all except for the grommets for the sensors?

A little late to the party. Here is my take when I did it on my old Excursion. Honestly, it's about the best $500 you can spend cosmetically, other than the 08+ mirrors.

'08-'16 / probably an XL (flat black paint).

Part numbers for the grommets:
CC3Z*15K861*AA
CC3Z*15K861*AAPTM
CC3Z*15K861*BAPTM
CC3Z*15K861*ABPTM

It is actually the pueblo gold. Mixed at Levine's Autoparts and matched up perfectly.

Correct. The bumper sits a little tighter up to the body than the old bumper but no mods needed - simply use the original old style bumper hanger/brackets. I had to slightly enlarge the new style grommets in order to fit the old style sensors - very easy with a round file.
