Hi everyone,
I have a 97 Ranger Splash, 2wd, V6 4.0, 5spd
I live in the Midwest, and we have one heck of a deer problem in our town. I had a buck run into the side of my passenger door -- then a short time later a doe ran into my drivers fender and door. Both sides are dented, and the passenger side of my splash bed is cracked.
The bummer is that I just replaced the clutch and head gasket on my 97 Ranger. I have owned it since 1998, and mechanically the truck is in awesome shape. Cosmetically, not so much.
I have found a donor car, a 1993 Ranger that has all the good body panels, but has a bad engine and is destroyed inside.
However, the 93 cab has crank windows, while my 97 has electric windows.
Will these two doors and the fiberglass bed interchange properly? Or am I heading for trouble?
My other option is a 99 stepside bed, but if I buy this 93 ranger, I'll get both doors and the bed for a pretty good price.
Thank you all for any advice you can give to me on this one.
yes it will since 93-97 were same configuration. I put elec windows, mirrors etc from a 97 on my 94 so you can do the same since the wiring is there. I had to make a wire harness for the electric stuff but yours is factory. Space permitting save the windows for future use.
I have a passenger door and I'm in Kansas City, if your other door option doesn't work out. I see that you're in the midwest. Door is complete with mirror, bright blue, in good condition, and has the window glass installed. No interior panel. It's yours for $50, if you want it. Manual window, though.
(I know this isn't a parts-for-sale thread, sorry)
