Just got a call from the machine shop and they said my head is ready. I had them mill it 40 thousandths. fixing to order a cam and intake. Just hammered in new freeze plugs, got the motor all painted up and started working on my brakes. Finally making progress!!!!

There are some more pics of the progress. Since the ones of the truck were taken, i've put the tool boxes back on the bed and started doing brakes.

having that 300 in it will give you more room in that engine bay, that's for sure.

For the interior paint, is that rattle can or a 2K paint you mixed up? It looks good.

Hahahahaha mixing paint! You're funny! We take nothing to any such levels of professionalism round here! Nah man it's Rustoleum rattle can Ivory and kind of a turd brown. And thanks! i think it turned out good for a quick and dirty paint job.

alright, one more update as of now. Got my head back from the machine shop and installed on the engine, putting new valve stem seals in it right now, ordered my cam yesterday (Cam Research CR272 for those who want to know), and just picked up a new drag link. I'm hoping that if i put the new drag link in and tighten the box, i can eliminate most of my steering play (there's a lot, mostly from the drag link tho).
